MJ Withdrawl
    #3925653 - 03/16/05 01:41 PM (19 years, 17 days ago)

Im totally cron.  right.  Know that for about 4 years I've smoked almost every day a gram or more.

I woke up yesterday... Looked at my wake and bake bowl; decided to eat first... Then, I started doing the dishes. I started cleaning, passed the bowl a bunch of times but never puffed 'er.  Took out all the Recycling/garbadge and did some work on the Lappy 5000 here.  Did some stretching etc...  All the while, I had pretty well forgotten that I smoked at all.

G-friend came home gave a her a big kiss and made supper.  Eat that all up, watch a movie and THEN hit the bong.

This is my experience of the Stages of Withrawl for THC in Humans-
1. A sudden burst of Energy and Will.
2. extreme wakefullness and general sense of well being.
3. Forgeting totally about the drug in question.

*shakes head in absolute bewilderment of North American Drug Policies*

I've had many 'breaks', from a week to half a year...  all similar experiences.  Nowhere in my mind was there any lurking obsession or craving; and I left a PACKED BONG and LIGHTER on the table.  I simply and easily choose not to do it.

Do that after getting a good hook on with Tobbaco, Booze or harder drugs.

Well, it is also a psychological thing. I've had days where I desperately craved weed to the point where I was clawing at my eyeballs...

but sometimes I feel that way about a hamburger or something too.

It takes four hectares of grass/grain/land to produce one hamburger.

I'm not sure that the vegetarian propaganda gets it right all the time:
http://www.mercola.com/2000/apr/2/vegetarian_myths.htm

Maybe they're right, maybe they're not, but I'm no expert, and I have a feeling that neither are you.

I find the first few days of a break from the jane leaves me very irritable. After that passes I get this refreshed feeling of pure awesomeness.

Four weeks clean. I had been good for like two years, jumped back on about 4 months ago. I hate the way my brain becomes mush when i smoke. Dropped it 4 weeks ago. Now i use my OCD powers on growing shrooms. YAY. Replace one addiction for another plus i drink.

Yeah, you'll feel fine without it for about a day or two. but when you don't have any and it's been already a few days is when you really start to crave it.

Gotta disagree... Ive gone days, weeks, months, years!! Without a Craving...

Now... I'm Addicted to Tobacco... up to 50 cigs a day sometime when I smoke. I quit a year ago. I crave it every single fucking day. I quit only after I could barely breathe and thought I was going to die.

But Pot...Never.. and I mean never. Sometimes Ill not have any weed Be broke or something and wish I had some.. But thats different than an addiction based craving.

i will admit that if you stop for awhile it def. will clear your head. I would recomend every once inawhile people stop smoking for awhile just so your brain can refocus... it's kinda like it needed a little dusting

I only withdrawl from weed when I think about it too much, I am having to quit because of drug/alcohol counceling and classes...it is hard to go without at first, then you get used to it, it has only been a week and a half since I smoked bud last...I am starting to used to being without it...I am trying to quit tobacco too..that one is much harder for me...but I have cut down to about 2 day at the most...

ey I can see it for sure... Everything is addictive on some level,

Caffeine is quite addictive though. I drank like 2 lites of Soda Pop a day growing up(my mom worked for Pepsi). Bad shit for 5-10 year old
Kid. I went %100 strait edge(clean of ALL enthnogens including Caffeine, even over the counter drugs) at 16 for 5 years. I gradually cleaned up my diet of refined sugars, processed foods and various 'bad for you' stuff... ultimately became vegetarian for 2 years. Tobbacco and Caffeine had the worst cravings and withdrawl side effects. Processed foods and sugar a close second. MJ very very low on the addiction scale... Somewhere around the same as really spicy food I reckon.

I've smoked off and on for 4 years (since age 14, if you can believe that shit)

I love weed so very dearly. But very soon I'm going to have to give up my coveted ganja. Fuck I hate weed withdraw. Depression and irritability for up to a week. After that its smooth sailing.

Wheres my bong...
