How's this for a fruting chamber?
    #3888065 - 03/08/05 03:50 PM (19 years, 15 days ago)

Im planning on building a poor man's pod and would like to get some opinions on this fruting chamber I picked up at wally world for 8 bux.

My bigest question is about how many 1/2 pint cakes will fit in this chamber? I beleive it is 95 quarts , there are two 18in bubble wands in the pic.

Id like to harvest enough to last me at least between growing cycles , though I am not exactly sure how long a growing cycle is. I have grown cannabis a few times and the time from seed to harvest is almost always exactly 3 months. I would imagine that the growing cycle of PC is much shorter than cannabis?

Thanks for any help

each cake would yeild about 7 g's dry. No dunk, I invented that tek, They are on the lids to keep from fruiting on the bottoms. Straws are filled with water daily, ultrasonic, No heat, just room temp. Basic.

As for the dunk tek, if that is the tek to soak the cake to add moisture then it was i that brought that to the shrromery about 7 years ago. I copied it from the shiitake farmers. You could find the original tek at jug or not .com

Thanks , just tryin to figure out how many cases of canning jars to get at 12 per case. Looks like 2 cases should do it , would 24 fruiting cakes produce enough for mushys to last me between harvests? I hold my physcoactives well so let's assume my consumption would be above normal.

Thanks again for the help

folow the mmgg to a t, and you will be fine. Make sure you have a verm layer on top. Use the drinking straw tek, dont case. Dont dunk till after 2 flushes.

Thanks for all the help. So now it comes down to picking a strain. Ive been browsing around and there seems to be a slight contradiction as to potency differences between PC strains. Some people say all strains are the same , while some seem to think cambodians and hawaiians are more potent.

Assuming all strains are relativly the same , I suppose the best choice would be the strain that produces the largest fruiting bodys. Its hard to tell from pics , but it seems as though amazonians, B+ and golden teachers produce the largest fruiting bodys.

Any help would be much appreciated
