Semi-bank Robbery?

What if you just walked into a bank, went to the counter, and asked the cashier to politely give you some money. You dont have a gun, or a knife, and your hands arent in your pockets. You are not really forcefully robbing the place, but just asking them to give you some money. Think you could be arrested for this approach?
say they thought you were really trying to rob the place and gave you some money. You leave and then get apprehended, who gets the money? Basically try to use the possiblity of being a bank robber, but in all actuality, trying to panhandle a bank.

I would say panhandling a bank is highly futile. I mean..a bank? No fucking way. Too much paperwork involved in the money. They'll never give you some cash, ever.

It's still robbing a bank and it's still a federal felony.

To get money from a bank teller, you gotta kick 'em in the throat. Why do you think Dillinger was so successful? Steel-toed boots.

well, it'd be like a faux robbery. they might think you have a weapon even though you don't produce one or attempt to fool them into believing that you do. i'm very interested in this! no demands, just asking them. no disguise, just street dress.
man walks into bank, goes up to teller, says "can i please have all the money?".
the teller might get nervous and give you all the money. where's the illegality, you have the right to ask for money. its not up to you if somebody gives it to you.

If the teller believes that they are in danger and are being robbed, that's all that matters. The police don't fuck around when it comes to bank robberies. A person of average intelligence should know that a bank won't just give you money if you ask. You need to have an account and fill out the proper paperwork to get money from said account.

Then I should be able to call the cops on every bum that says "yo homes, lemme have a dollar". I think this could spill into the 1st amendment! freedom to ask as many dumb questions as you want.

yes, I liquidated a bunch of stocks and moved the cash to my checking account. I got turned down for a secured loan when I tried to establish credit at a bank I had been doing good business with for a few years, my mother was willing to co-sign the loan and had a previous (paid off) business loan as well as a couple of auto loans, they still turned down the loan, at that point I decided I didnt want anything to do with paying 14% interest to use other peoples money while they also charge those same same people $6 a month to allow the bank free access to that money in order to make loans.
currently I have 4 homes with 87acres of prperty and no mortgages, that could have been half a million in interest for the bank... one $5000 loan screwed it up.

I just don't think banks have any soprt of sense of humor, so it's probably not worth it. A bank alarm will get a quicker response than a 911 call in the world we live in.
