Howdy people!

I desperately needed to innoculate some substrate but had no clean spores. So, being ingenious, I decided to use what I had powdered around on the Perelite in the bottom of my tank. My procedure was as follows:

Syringes - I only had a couple old used ones, so...
1 - Boil water
2 - Rinse syringes with H2O2
3 - Throw em in water
4 - Leave em for 45mins

Now that I had syringes, I needed spores.
1 - Spoon wet spore covered perelite (looks clean and contam free) into a sterelized container
2 - rinse liberally with H2O2 and dump liquid
3 - soak with bottled H2O
4 - Pour spore water from perelite/spore juice into another sterile container
5 - Suck into syringe

The syringes look dark and sporey to me.

What are my chances of not being contaminated? Does this sound like a good procedure?

Any opinions/teks welcome.

I'd still give it a shot, maybe on only one jar. I'm not entirely convinced that peroxide actually kills spores, just prevents spores from germinating while the level is high enough. Upon injecting, the peroxide might be diluted out enough to allow some spores to do their thing. Who knows, could be wrong, I don't play much with peroxide. I'd bet the perlite isn't as clean as you think and you'll get bacteria/mold problems rather than no spore-germination. Peroxide seems more of a 'deterrent' than a 'sterilizer', atleast the 3% stuff.

What I might do [besides just get a clean print or something] is shake and tap the hell out of that syringe, trying to liberate some oxygen gas before injecting. This should reduce the oxidation level of your 'injectant'. Maybe 30 minutes of direct sunlight as well?
