Actually I can't remember.. I found them googling or something and just saved them because I liked the pictures. I found them in an old folder of mine and thought I'd share. Please don't nominate them for anything as I am not the photographer.

Oh it's easy to stump me, I have mainly focused my studies on the gilled genera (also pores/tubes), and I'm only familiar with some of the more common fungi that fall into the other categories. There is so much to learn, so little time, the gilled genera itself is massive. If it came down to a bracket or some odd shaped fungi, chances are I would be totally stuck.
I have worked with microscopes in the past and as soon as I get ahold of mine again, I will continue where I left off, because being without one is a lot like being in the dark.
I really plan on getting more involved in the future, studying and spending more time learning about the world of fungi as a whole and not just bits and pieces here and there. My interest in the subject goes far beyond culinary reasons. I still just may consider a career in mycology.
Those stinkhorns are really interesting looking, I've found things close to that before.

Looks like a coral species? not sure, going from memory. the books are all packed away for the winter :frown:
