Does anybody know the signs from which you can see that your phone is open for illegal listening? (regular phoneline, with a mobile phone)

mobile phones are VERY easy to listen in on... the real question is does anyone have a reason to listen to yours. Anyone with a scanner and a brain (or sometimes not) can listen to a portable phone conversation.

But do you know any sign from which you can notice your phone might be open for outside listeners?

If you are using a standard cordless you would have no well to tell if somone is tuning in your band, unless they try and transmit on it as well, which im assuming they wouldnt if they are trying to spy.
THere are digital cordless, as well as cell phones have "privacy" features on it. Atleast mine does im not sure exactly what it does.
Stupid cell phones have gps chips in them too .

Can You tell me more about this? When did they start putting GPS chips in mobile phones? Are those genuine GPS chipsets or just some advanced "tower triangulation" stuff? Is it some kind of standard in mobile phones industry or is it practiced only by some companies or in some countries? If so then which companies don't put GPS chips in their phones? Are these chips working when the phones are turned off? Is it possible to extract them (with a little help of soldering gun or something) without turning the phone into a useless piece of scrap? I own a good old Nokia 3330 for many years now. Does it have this chip?

It probably doesnt. I believe all new cell phones have a gps chip in them for emergencies i believe. A lot of areas dont even have the setup to track them.
From what i understand is if they are looking for someone they can track it or if you call 911 but dont say anything. Things like that, it is still scray tho.

if you hear funny clicking sounds that could be a good sign that someone is recording your conversations.
