Is there a right size for a casing container?

As a little personal experiment, I am going to case a few PF cakes while birthing a few as cakes (and leaving one to fruit invitro).
Is there a RIGHT size for a casing container, or is it OK to put each 1/2 pint cake in a small 5" diameter tupperware thingie?

If you are casing the sliced/crumbled cakes, as opposed to innoculating a bulk substrate, then the size of the casing container would be a function of the total amount of physical material - fully run substrate - that you have. Period. You want the substrate layer to be no more than maybe a couple inches thick, no less than maybe a 1/2 inch or so....hope this helps.....

Altho you cant really case in a thimble, most casing containers (from tupperware to pie tins to cups ect.) are good for casing.
