How does pulling the whole shroom out cause a field to stop producing? If the myc.is still in the dung they will grow, the only way i know for a field to stop is if the cows are taken out for good.

how/why would you say a thing like that... I have a field with no cows on it that produces nicely after heavy downpours.. I mean, its not like all of their dung is taken with them.
I found out a long time ago that the mush tend to like the older patties anyways, Im guessing because the mycelium is more developed and willing to grow?

Succession of species. A fresh patty will have certain fungi on them. When some specific nutrient in the patty is used up those fungi will die out and be replaced by others. The same sort of thing occurs as fungi rot wood.
Happy mushrooming!

After about a year of no cows in the field the poo rots into the earth the grass grows tall and cubes and other shrooms will never grow in that field again they were only there to break down the shit to begin with after that if there is no new dung they will not return.
picking a mushroom does not kill a field.

True. They grow in the decom[posed manure of the cattle or most four-legged ruminants after four to six weeks of decomposing. However, sometuimes they also appear in fresh manure.
Then whent he cattle are gone for a while, no shrooms grow which were dung inhuabiting.
Even inthe PNW, liberty caps will grow in a field for a few years after the cattle are gone because they grow attached tot he roots of wild grasses. Within three years of no cattle in the field to make manured soil, the liberty caps sdo not reappear.
WE had a whole open field in the arboretum back on the late 1970s which had recently been fertilized.
Me and oen fo the main employees of a popular gardenstore in Seattle were playing frisbee and when I went to bend over to pick up the disc, I found liberty caps inthe field. They were there for three years and then disappeared.
That is the problem with blue ringers here in Seattle.
Landscappers fertilize a lawn or the shrooms come in t with the sod. After a year or more, many buildings get rid of the landscappers and thus the fertilizers stop coming. eventually those lawns stop producing.
one are her ein the neighborhood had perpetual lawn care and blue ringers grew on many lawns for almost 18 years. whent he service was discontinued, so were the appearance of the shrooms.
