Hippie's Neglect TEK
    #373776 - 08/17/01 04:27 PM (22 years, 7 months ago)

I want to start growing shrooms, but have nowhere to sufficiently hide a 20 gallon aquarium. I was reading around the PF TEK website, and noticed that you can just keep the colonized cake exposed to light through the entire colonization period, and shrooms will grow in the jar. The author of the article said it worked great and it is confirmed by PF TEK. I was just wondering if anybody has experience with this method and, if so, (getting repititious) how much light is required the entire time? Thanks.

I just initiate pinning by altering the amount of co2 and humidity while placing in a lighted area.

My friend is in the process of doing the neglect tek right now... Her jars recently started pinning, so I guess you could say that it worked (so far). Use a strain that hippie did: matias romero, ecuador, and another one (I forget). My friend's using Gulf Coast.

Same amount of light that other shrooms require... My friend sits her jars on her dresser and they get 1 hour of light from her bedroom light every night. (oooh, a rhyme)
