Bulbous Growth... WTF? (pics)

Greetings folks, While it was intent to complete my first grow without nagging the group with innane noob questions, unfortunately I have an oddity that has me quite puzzled, so I must defer to the more experienced for opinions. I have a cake that has some wierd "bulbs" of growth. Now, before we all scream contam, it really doesn't look like a foriegn growth, but rather a odd formation of the mycilium (at least to my eyes). Otherwise the cake seems quite normal. Pictures at... Odd Cake Sorry for the quality, but my camera doesn't do good closeups. What do you all make of that? Does this seem like something to be concerned about, or are malfomations like this common? Any thoughts or opinions would be most appreciated.

Wow, you said it, WTF....lol..I've seen something similar like that before, but I still have no idea what that is or what causes, tell us what you did step by step, maybe somewhere you got lysol in your cake or something to that effect, it may not necessarly be a contam., but it may be something that might slow/stop primordia and that means no mushies...so....yea

Yeah, I've never seen a more appropriate need for "WTF"

Well, it was just a standard PF Tek, followed to the letter. Verm/BRF kept in a TiT at 85 degrees. The cake was dunked (tap water) in the fridge for 12 hours, then rolled (verm strait from the bag, not sterilized) before birthing. Fruiting chamber is a variation of Magash's with a 12/12 light schedule, 75 degree temperature. The humidity I'm not sure of, as I have no Hygrometer, but it feels quite humid in the chamber. The fruiting chamber was Pine-Sol'ed before use, but it was rinsed thoroughly as well. The only deviation from the norm that I can think of is that I get considerable condensation on the lid of the fruiting chamber, so I splash drops on the cakes when I open the lid. Perhaps I missed a spot when rinsing, and got a Pine-Sol concentrated drop on this cake? No other cakes have this type of growth though. My gut feeling is that it's not a contam, but a freaked out spot of Mycelium, but I've never seen anything like it any anybody else's pictures. Also, if you look closely, there is a pin growing right beside it. Whatever the hell it is, it doesn't seem to be inhibiting the normal growth process. It's just so damn odd looking... I'll post updated pictures over the next few days, if anyone cares to follow the progress of this oddball anomaly...

If pine sol (dont know what it is) is some kind of chemical then that seems the most obvious to me.

Could you elaborate on your experience? Why is it a pain in the ass? Is it a contam? Why does it ruin the cake?
Anything you can recal would be wonderful.

HEY MAN! Ive had a casing that produced some of these 'nodes' along with a good flush...its not really a problem, as they are edible mushroom tissue. I wrote this anomaly off to temperature or humidity fluctuations, although the lysol causing mutation is probably a better explanation.
