Anyone else listened to these CD's? Orbital's my fav band, but their track selelection was really weird... mostly ska.

Everything but the girl had a good one. So did new order. Anyone else heard any of these cd's?

It's basically a series (like united dj's of america or tranceport) where different electronic music pioneers mix together a bunch of tracks that influenced them. Good stuff... Lots of old ruuuude boy music, house, and hip hop

Check out the "DJ Kicks" and "another late night" albums, same idea, artists like kruder & dorfmeister, groove armada, rae & christian, terranova, fila brazillia etc...

Yeah I downloaded Carl Cox's, but I didn't know it was a "what inspired me" CD, and I'm honestly not a huge fan of what inspired Carl Cox. I'm glad he switched to techno.

Hah yea... the artists tend to go off on tangents. I think it started off with a lot of hip hop/dance... then as they got into older artists like New Order and orbital (ppl around 40+ years), they started throwing weirder shit on there....
