Is Sweet-N-Low sweeter than sugar?
    #3609813 - 01/10/05 08:20 PM (19 years, 2 months ago)

Aight, here's the full scoop.

At home, I put 2 sweet-n-low's and some creamer in my coffee. When I got back to school, I went to make some coffee. My supplies were all the same EXCEPT I had Kroger brand "Granulated Sugar Packets" @ 99 cents for 100 packs instead of Sweet-n-Low. AND, I forgot my awesome coffee mug.

1st cup - in a plastic red cup with 2 packets of sugar. HIDEOUS cup of coffee (I'm sure it was fine, but I hate black coffee). I blamed it on the plastic cup. Something about melting plastic, and odor combinations.

2nd cup - today, in my mug. ONLY variable now is my sugar. 2 sugars, some creamer, terrible. Way black. So now I'm like..wow, it's my sugar. I ended up putting like 6 packs of sugar in it and it still was pretty black.

How can this be? Isn't sugar sugar? Is sweet-n-low SWEETER than sugar? Or can you buy less sweet sugar? I mean..15 calories per packet of sugar, 4g of sugar per packet. Is this crap?

I don't have any sweet-n-low to compare it to. Thanks!

I like REAL sugar only, all that other stuff is nasty...I go for natural stuff usually with anything...

Splenda has to much of a chemically, acidy aftertaste I can't stand the stuff... To each his own......

White sugar is not natural. It is refined from cane.

Best thing you can do is eat all natural foods and stay away from anything sweetened with sugar or other artificial sweeteners.

Oh that is true....well it isn't genetically altered like that other stuff...but "Splenda" is the best tasting sugar alternative...I can agree with you there...
