My mediocre Salvia expereience + questions.

A friend of mine bought me some nice minty sage leaves (dry) I had about 3-4 cones of it in a crappy bong . Trying to get as much in as possible in a short amount of time, i started to feel something and stopped -my mistake.
It was an odd experience although only a threshold one. I noticed the green writing on my remote control became brighter and my concentration and problem solving skills were weak (i was pretty tired too though).
The only REALLY noticeable effect was the gravity thing. Oh how strong it was. I felt pinned down to the couch. When i got up and moved forward it felt like my momentum would keep 'dragging' me along. Almost like a sideways gravity feeling.
Afterwards i felt odd, like i was irritated at something, but i don't know what.
BTW this was all with a torch lighter. Now all i have is a regular flame lighter. Should i go ahead and try it again? or would that just be wasting it? -without a torch lighter.
I figure next time I'll keep going till i feel something cheers for any help.

If it is plain leaves, then you might want to use a torch lighter.. but, if it is extract (or if you can get your hands on some) you can use a plain lighter.. and I recommend getting the extract if you havn't gotten some already.

plain lighter is ok - keep holding the flame over the burning material & make sure draw the smoke in continuously. (no cherry stoking like with pot)
the idea is to create a strong negative pressure to encourage the molecules of salvinorin to leave the burning material with the smoke. under the continuous reduced pressure they evaporate and below the static 14#psi boiling point just like any other compound. because of this a torch is unnecesary.
