There have been many experiments regarding water here and other boards and the results have been very little difference with waters. Use tap or mineral water and you'll be fine.

Hmmm, I should grow a batch with tap water, and one with pond water, and see what happens. And hey, who cares if one isnt better than the other, I'll still be eatin some shrooms;)

really HeGz? i thought i had read (maybe i assumed), that we should be using distilled water for this.... chlorine and/or floride in tap water doesnt kill the spores?

id be happily surprised if tap water is all good....i just hadnt picked up on that lil tidbit yet. thanks.

my friend tried stram water and it didnt work. it seemed as if all the water evaporated!! i think the water was really dirty and when he steam sterilized it everything disappeared because the water wasnt sterile enough to begin with or something. ive grown using tap water and distilled water and they both worked. i dont know if there was any yield difference because it wasnt anything important so i just forgot about it. i think any manufactured water and tap water will work, but id use distilled water for misting!!!

hey, you got to be genuine thats the name of this game. if you're real, then you aint got nothing to worry about, but if youre synthetic then starting tomorrow you're balls come off!

Chlorine(actually Natrium Hypochlorite) decomposes when you boil the jars, the little fluoride won?t harm the shrooms.
