NIN: new disc comming soon

TR has finished composing the songs, he's currently working with others mastering the cd and all that as well as getting a band tougether to play live.
The date keeps getting pushed back, but it's gotta be sometime soon. Early to mid 2005! Keep looking for it. I'm excited because I've had nothing in terms of music to look forward to- too much shitty music out now, when will it turn around?

Hell yeah! I missed em during the Fragile tour and I think this summer I'm gonna see NIN twice and maybe TOOL a couple times as well(3x?). Make a west coast month long road trip out of it. For some reason I think these two legendary bands won't be touring very often much longer. I mean look how long its been since either has toured. Both TR and MJK are gettin old too. Not that that means anything but at some point they'll stop. Both are some of the best shit you can see live.

TOOL always books small venues for the first leg of a tour. i saw them play LaTeRaLus in a tiny little theater in Berkeley. 2005 is going to be the best year for music since 1997.

I saw tool at the tabernacle in atlanta which only holds a few thousand people at the most. It was a great show, but the best tool show i ever saw was actually at a arena with like 15,000 people. It was nuts, energy everywhere..hard to describe why it was so much better, but it was.
For the record, i've also seen them look really stale and uninspired at arenas. Theres alot to factor in a guess.

Dude, never. As long as the tastlesness of the masses continues to drive the "music industry". You know whatt drives this garbage. It's not gonna turn around if you keep looking in the same place. I don't know where to look for new music really, aside from trying to scope what bands I got into in the 90's are up to these days, which amounts to stuff like a new Primus EP and hopes for a new TOOL ablum.
That's why Ive gone retrograde in my search to find new music. Check out the 70's for good bands. I've gotten big into prog rock since turning my back on mainstream music. Rush, Yes, King Crimson, The Police. These bands still riegn supreme. There's always Pink Floyd, Zep, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy, shit like that. There's those weird niche corners where you find hidden stuff like old Steely Dan and the Residents.
Keep making your own music, you're into that right? I figure with the Internet, there is just this massive opportunity that is still totally unexplored. I'm playing in a prog rock band and screwing around with Fruity Loops. Haaha, let me know if yoy discover any new bands worth checking out. I'm sure there's plenty out there, they just don't get the distribution and you've gotta have some kind of in, like a buddy who works at a record store, to find it.

I think you're right. I need to look elsewhere. I also need to keep making music myself, cuz I've not been doing much of that recently.
