it depends on if they are cubes or not. i have an old comp monitor, so every thing is kinda darkish. if they are cubes, then you can still trip off them, but then again, you could get food poisoning, too. not a good combo-puking+tripping=bad time.

Those are polypores. If you look closely at the underside of the cap you will find lots of tiny pores (tubes) instead of gills. Most polypores (including these) grow from wood. Ecologically, they are the primary decomposers of wood. These particular ones aren't edible, unless you're into eating things with the same texture as wood. I'm not aware of any active polypores, but there are some edible ones. Most of them have a texture like wood or leather. The tough texture means the fruiting bodies last much longer than most mushrooms, so you will find them through the winter and well into next year.

Happy mushrooming!.

Again, those are shelf like fungi (polypores) that grow from the sides of trees and logs. I can tell cleary by the rings and the shape. Nothing like that is ever hallucinogenic, and you were already told in your other ID thread that you cannot trip off of mushrooms growing in your area at this time of year. If those were edible at one time, they aren't now because they are very old.

I don't mean to be too harsh but seriously you need to wait till next spring or fall to hunt psychedellics.

edit: toxicman beat me to it :tounge:

Not able to ID...

Closest guess would be

#1--??? anyone's guess
#2--some type of ganoderma.

"any good"? depends on what your intent is...

ganoderma is species of medicinal mushroom..

Personally I would throw them away...

Haha, I thought it said his friend 'bought' them at first too. His friend just found them and 'brought' them apparently though.

You won't find what you're looking for until next spring or fall. I guarantee it.
