Corn invitro
    #3518361 - 12/18/04 08:55 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

Just adding to the invitro posts. Someone recently said it seemed corn caused problems with fruiting, but this picture just sent to me was said to be Ecuador from multispore on cracked corn. It's also said to be over a month old (5 weeks)in cool (70?F avg) temperature, and exposed to dim light since inoculation. I heard there were over 40 little pins at last count. This was an accident of neglect more than an experiment, and there were a few others doing the same thing.

My friend had a colonized jar that he just emptied for casings, there were literally 3 kernals left in the jar.  He put his spare casing material(field capacity verm) in the jar and forgot about it.  A couple weeks later there was a single small mushroom growing in this forgotten jar, from maybe 1 or 2 kernals.  The strain was treasuere coast, i wish he got a picture of it, but alas no camera at that time.
