What is the max temp your incubator can be at?

I just inoculated my 5 Cambodian and 3 Pesa half pint jars. I've heard that incubators should be at 82-84 F, but mine is a little above. I was curious as to how hot your incubator could be without killing or harming your shroomies.

i've heard myc can survive into the high 90's/low 100 area, but i wouldn't push it.
i keep mine below 86, between 82 and 85 at all times. the growing myc produces a bit of heat, so the inside of the jar is a bit warmer than the outside.

I've had mine at 85-88 most of the time. On hotter days, like you said, mine also reaches 90-92 and I've had no problems with contams... and my magic always comes out nice and trippy I know it's nice to hear people who have done what you are doing and to hear it's ok... so this is me saying just that. Best of luck!

higher than 81f is not recommended. higher than that is said to slow growth and encourage contams. my "incubator" is an airing cupboard that stays between 70/76.

Most anything thats been PCed properly is not at an increased risk of contams above 81F cultures do fine in the mid eighties even. I consider 84F max for healthy growth anything above this growth is retarded considerably especially the higher you go, with that said myc can handle as said above temps to 106F but not for very long. Bottom line anything from mid seventies to mid eighties will get fine results.
