i found these on woodchips, took a couple prints, and they came out puple grey. the rains of late will bring more fresh specimens that i will post. but i was wonderin on you input. What do u think? I went to the oakland fair and everone said they looked like cyans, one guy even said cyanofib but i still want ur opinion. If its to risky to id when dry ill get quankus to come down and take pics of the patch and fresh specimens.(if your down that is?). Any way just lookin for input.

Yeah I gotta talk to Quankus about getting better pics. im almost positive they are psychoactive but cant nail the species so i cant ingest. Iv had these for WEEKS the suspense is killin me, but no more than a misidentification would lol.

yes, better pictures will help get a more definitive ID
but at first glance i think you stand a good chance at having a psilocybe.

suimush picked them already dried by the sun. the stems are really thin with blue bruising. i think they smell damn good and everytime i handle them i wanna pop one in my mouth. ID? cyans or cyanfibs. what do you think?

Is there any way you could get a pic of them out in the sun? Have you checked into your camera to see how to operate it's macro function? There should be a little flower looking button. Press that, and then you can take pictures up closer.

With my camera, even when macro mode is on I can't get closer than a few inches. Try cranking the resolution all the way up, takign a pic from as close as you can get without it getting blurry (in macro mode), then crop it closer in photoshop. Does that make sense? Edit: Or, maybe it's just hard to keep it still while the shutter is exposed in dark lighting. Try taking it in the sun like Gumby mentioned, or turn the flash on. -BP

Play around with the settings, take alot of pictures and see what works. You can always delete the ones that suck and try again.
If you still can't get better photos, then then return your expensive camera and get a different one. Even cheap cameras can take the required photos for ID purposes, provided you know how to use them.

Just wait till we can get better pics Quankus. They didnt give a pos id cause the pics wernt good enough. Keep trying to get better pics and well see. Maybe you can come take pics of fresh ones from the patch like in a 3-4 days to a week. Itll be really better to get an id on a fresh specimen. Have patience iv had these for weeks and im not eating them till i know 100%.
