I was just wondering to any of those who have tried peyote or some for of extraction what it was like for you? how does it compare to other entheogens you may have taken, and what did you learn/gain from it?
thanks

well short answer ,think of a natural lsd
the one time i got a hold of some mescaline i just found myself in icreadibly deep thought looking at very complex(simple while sober) things and beingg amazed no notably remarkable visuals granted, i didn't take much .
i have heard of much stronger trips recieving much stronger visuals, but peyote and mecaline don't come around here to often, being on the east coast........

Well said gdman.
"mecaline don't come around here to often, being on the east coast........"
mescaline don't come around there too often being that its *anywhere* at all.
You're not going to get synthetic mescaline. As far as doing peyote, people don't generally do peyote, aside from native american churches, or people who have some sort of hookup related to that. Now, I'm not saying no one does, thats certainly not true. But its not a drug you're going to find for sale.
Anyone who goes out and harvests peyote from the wild these days is an ass. Even native american churches grow their own now (anyone with more info on this?). Most of the experience reports on erowid seem to be quite dated and involve paying someone in mexico to take them out into the desert and collect buttons. Not your average drug, certainly.
Now, if you grow your own, and can bare to wait 5+ years for them to mature and still be able to harvest them, you're a very patient person. Or perhaps if you've grown a hell of a lot (legal in canada) and could spare to miss a couple. Best yet, if you have a decent amount, you could perhaps eat one or two with a good dose of pedro. I think the last option is as far as I would go, only if I had quite a few.
Lastly, apparently you can buy dried buttons in amsterdam. Enough to even trip would cost 100 bucks or so, from what I've read. Anyone with more information on this? Or perhaps even experiences?

Good points elgr. Not to mention peyote is liable to cause a helluva lot more nausea than pedro as it contains 60+ alkaloids opposed to pedros half a dozen.

Both peyote and mescaline are listed in the CSA as Schedule I hallucinogens. No sources to illegal drugs are allowed.
