Premature Flowering
    #3428851 - 11/30/04 04:41 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

My plant is constantly being shifted around for one reason or another and unfortunately I seem to have upset it's light cycles. It was about 3-4" high before it started to flower and now it's not growing at all. I fimmed it about 3 weeks ago and I can clearly see two distinct points of new growth. However, at this rate I can expect to yield precisely ZIP from this plant. So I was wondering, is there a way to return it to vegetative growth? Keep in mind that I can't really increase the amount of time it spends in the sun (or light for that matter, no indoor setup).

Thanks for any responses.

To keep the plant in vegetative growth, you don't necessarily have to increase its light cycle, but you do have to keep the plant from receiving 12 hours of uninterrupted darkness for more than a few days. Every 6-8 hours, take a flashlight and shine it over the entire plant. The whole thing. Get up close. Interrupting the dark period like that will keep the plant in vegetative, unless it is already too confused from the irregular lighting, and then it may take a while to normalize it. Either way your yield is going to be negatively effected. In summary, just don't let it stay in the dark for too long at a time. Peace. :rasta:

I wouldnt use a flashlight like that, if you want it back to veg give it 24/7. If theres reveging buds then you should put it in veg mode till its filled out then flower. It takes a few weeks to reveg, like 4-8.

It's really only for the novelty value, I'm not too concerned about yields.

Thanks for the info though, much appreciated.
