Terrarium - providing humidity with perlite
    #342344 - 06/16/01 04:23 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

I'm building the terrarium described in magic mushrooms growing guide v3.2, but was wondering if I could provide the humidity from wet perlite layed out over the bottom of the cooler below the rack. I know that there needs to be small hole for the CO2 to escape through, so would this pose a problem since the wet perlite would be below the exhaust hole? If I don't use this method, then I'll most likely use the air pump bubble method... but then again... a humming noise coming from my closet would be hard to explain when I have friends over. So! Is wet perlite an alright method for providing humidit?????????????????

Yes.
You don?t need the hole necessarily, fanning a few times a day will suffice.
