Do ecuadorians have fuzzy white stalks at the bottoms of them. Also do they sometimes have white spots on the top of their caps.

That fuzzy white at the bottom is common and the white spots on the cap is remnants of the veil I would guess.

The fuzzy stuff your seeing is mycellium. Cubensis dont have a veil that is attached to the top of the cap. ALL the white flufffy stuff your seeing is mycellium. Also this is cause by having too high of a humididty. Are you growing cakes or have you done casings???

I too am having the same thing happening(white base with white dots on top. I'm also growing equadorian, only difference is that mine are cakes in a rubbermaid tub with perlite. I wouldn't worry about it though. It is due too having a high humidity but it will not harm your grow. Good luck.

No need to drop it even..maybe mist a little less. Myc always grows on the stems of healthy mushrooms..it can grow in small spots on the cap but to much on the cap means high humidity. If misting, mist less..

I'd rather not pretend that the mushrooms I eat are a nasty posion like that in amanita muscaria
