If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Microsoft Outlook Express you need to make the switch and start using an alternative.

I suggest you use Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Thunderbird

Firefox    (browser)    - http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
Thunderbird (mail client) - http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/

Firefox and Thunderbird will import all the settings from the programs you already have installed (IE and Outlook Express)

Just give these programs a try, you don't even have to uninstall IE or  Outlook Express. Give them a try :smirk:

haha, aren't you suppose to say why you think it's better? I was going to try out Mozilla, and I was looking at some of the skins and I don't like any of them...Sorta superficial but that's why I didn't install it. Peace

firefox overall is more secure. Sometimes it has issues loading pages because its still a relatively new browser.

I have to disagree, 99% of the time there is a display issue its not the fault of the browser its the fault of the sites code. Firefox is 100% standards compliant. So if you go to a site that requires ActiveX your screwed.

As to why its better... It's Open Source and its not made by Microsoft. Both of those make it more secure. There are a million more reasons to switch but why bother? Just give it a try, their is no risk.

IE is better.

Java doesn't work on firefox.

It's completely non-standards compliant.

Microsoft is standards compliant.

Oh Yeah, and if it wasnt for firefox i wouldnt be online right now. A few months ago IE just stoped working and i couldnt access any websites at alll, after many weeks of being pissed off a mate suggested i try firefox, he sent me the installation file via msn messenger... and i was back on the go again!

And with tabs!!!!

i love how you can have up multiple sites in one browser...ctrl t and you get a new tab and go to another site and flip between all the sites with the tabs at the top.

Yes that has happened to me also.. with IE..
I consider it standard to install firefox
on all systems I am responsible for in addition to
IE...

I still like opera, it has tabbed multiple pages as well...
and tons of features... I may be missing some of the additional
features in firefox... I'll need to use it a bit more...
