Arafat
    #3354448 - 11/13/04 02:02 AM (19 years, 4 months ago)

Today at Jummah we held prayers and supplication for Yasser Arafat, who Palestinians consider their father. We also made Dua for the Palestinian people - who have lived under the foreign occupation of Israel for decades.

Many consider Yasser Arafat a terrorist - some consider him a terrorist for simply putting his foot down on Israel, some consider him a terrorist for rejecting the 2000 proposal, some consider him a terrorist for his inability to crack down on militant groups, and some consider him a terrorist for the actions of the Fatah movement during the 1970's.

However, to many he is a freedom fighter. A symbol of defiance to an entity and ideology that ought to be defied. Today tens of thousands of Palestinians stormed the Ramallah compound in uncontrollable grief for who they called "Father Palestine".

When the helicopter's doors opened to escort the casket of Yasser Arafat, Palestinians began to chant over and over again, "Here comes the old man! Here comes the old man! Rush to Success! Rush to Success! God is Great, God have Mercy on the old man!"

The out-pouring of grief was an emotive slap in the face to those who regarded him as nothing as a terrorist. Where areas Osama bin Laden would never be brought to the White House, Yasser Arafat and and the late Rabin casually joked around with eachother, almost playfully.

Years later, in 2000, many called Arafat a traitor to peace. Why? Because Arafat would only accept what his people would accept: And that is the independence of the Palestinians with East Jerusalem as the capital.

To this day people still scold the Palestinians for rejecting the 2000 offer.

Yet every Palestinian vows not to rest until East Jerusalem is returned to the Palestinians.

Israel's stubborn reason not to give up what they only had since 1967? "Jerusalem is a city for Jewish Kings,"

Of course!

Israel was founded on expansionist apartheid, and remains standing on a leg of expansionist apartheid.

The point of this thread though is the road map to peace - the Palestinian need for East Jerusalem - and Israel's need to meet half way in the peace process.

Another reason why Arafat rejected the 2000 proposal: The Palestinians were bending over for the process, not the Israelis. Israel still imposed conditions that chopped down the land exchange by 10%.

This process will only work if both sides meet half way: Palestinians and the IDF must ceasefire, and Israel MUST be willing to hand over East Jerusalem.

However, it seems religious fanatics have officially fucked the process. In the U.S. Republicans have a foreign policy that isn't an honest broker, the Jewish religious right in Israel believes Jerusalem is a city for "Jewish Kings" and Hamas terrorists refuse to acknowledge Israel exists.

The key to solving this mess is Jerusalem.

Hand the Eastern region over to Palestinians, or make the whole damn thing an international city.

Praise Allah, one less arab to deal with. If Isarel could put the poison they used in the water supply of camel fuckers, we'd be better off.

Arafat rejected Camp David accords on the grounds that it allowed Israel to exist. He demanded that 5 million people who have never even lived in Palestine be able to return to Israel to outnumber the Jews and end the Jewish state. That is NOT a concession. That's like if the US got in a war with Mexico and Mexico said "We'll stop fighting if you let 400 million Mexicans move into the US." Pretty much "We'll give you peace if you surrender, give us your land and cease to exist."

The "father of the Palestinians" stole over a billion dollars of his children's money. His sow of a wife extorted 22 million a year to reveal where the money was hidden. The beast wouldn't even deign to live amongst the filthy people supporting her and she would no longer let the filthy AIDS ridden pedophile be in the same room, let alone touch her. What swine.

How about just make the whole damn region an international country. And the jews and arabs start acting like adults and stop killing each other over imaginary ghosts in the sky..... :rotfl:

Really though, I wish I could make that statement without having to add the little laughing dude.

I think there were definitely times in Arafat's life when he wanted peace. But he just didn't know how to act on those moments of clarity. He was the epitomy of being 'part of the probelm.' It's fucked up that he's dead. I'd like to hope that his death will aid in the peace process, because it definitely has the potential to. But I doubt it will make much difference. No end in sight.

Arafat rejected the Camp David accords over East Jerusalem more than anything.

But I am also in favor of the Palestinian Right of return. There are millions of Jews who have been born in Israel who now live there so how is it any different? The Palestinians today, have been living in the refugee camps their grandparents were forced to live in decades ago. Who gives a shit if Jews become a minority as a result of a peace process? Why are Jews so damn special that they can't be near any goyims. What the hell gives them the right to segregate and cause all this suffering just for a simply populace statistic? Bollox. Do you know what apartheid means? Your comparison to Mexico is also a poor one. Did you mean Native Americans? Mexicans didn't get their land expropriated by a bunch of immigrants in the Modern Era.

Arafat. That's why his wife wouldn't be in the same country as him and why he was spirited off to France to die. They have the toughest non-disclosure laws there. She managed to extort pretty huge payments in return for her silence and the divulging of his accounts.

Speculation and rumor. What about the other stuff. I.E. stolen funds, bribery of the wife, failure to disclose cause of death (VERY interesting). No argument?????? Those are actually his real crimes against Muslims. Fucking young boys is not a crime against the whole (?????) rabble(!). I have not even bothered with his crimes against anybody else because you will and can argue that he was just fighting for his people. Except he wasn't. He was just another self-aggrandizing and self-enriching swine like every Muslim leader I can think of. Where is the Muslim Gandhi? There is none. They are mostly Orwellian Napoleons.

Doctor: Arafat has blood platelet deficiency

It is called thrombocytopenia and it is a well known symptom of HIV and AIDS.

"In his memoirs "Red Horizons," Ion Pacepa relates a conversation in 1978 with Constantin Munteaunu, a general assigned to teach Arafat and the PLO techniques to deceive the West into granting the organization recognition.

"I just called the microphone monitoring center to ask about the 'Fedayee,'" Arafat's code name, explained Munteaunu. "After the meeting with the Comrade, he went directly to the guest house and had dinner. At this very moment, the 'Fedayee' is in his bedroom making love to his bodyguard. The one I knew was his latest lover. He's playing tiger again. The officer monitoring his microphones connected me live with the bedroom, and the squawling almost broke my eardrums. Arafat was roaring like a tiger, and his lover yelping like a hyena."
