Homemade PC Idea

I have an idea for a homemade pc, I was wondering if it would work. Would you be able to take a paint can, clean it out. Drill a hole for a custom made psi valve with a sealed ring installed from the inside. Hammer the lid back on with your jar inside. Start heating it, monitor it to the right psi, and then just tap nail holes into it to keep it at 15 psi. I don't have any funds, so any feedback on this would be helpful.

NO!!!! NO NO NO! Extremely dangerous! If you're stupid enough to consider this, you will have to come up with something much, much better than a paint can....... the metal is thin, the lid is just pressed on... it'd never hold the pressure.

Please...Dont....Do....That.
Research fractional sterilization if necessary. Thats like constructing your own hang glider and running off a cliff. Might be fun for a sec, but not safe at all.

Great metaphor.
My advice is take the advice on fractional sterilization or else go buy a PC, I bought one last night for $40 and I can fit 4 quart jars in it.

Let's see. The lid is, what?, 8" diameter? That's about 50 square inches. At 15 pounds each, the pressure on the lid is about 754 pounds.
Should make a great news story.

It'd never get to 15 pounds.

Usually I'd flame the shit out of something like this so the person would feel so dumb they'd never consider suicide again... but I don't think anyone would be dumb enough to try to make their own PC anyway so I'll assume this post was a joke. Seriously, they're dangerous enough to just use... much less make. Don't be a dumbass.

All the pc's I seen at walmart don't have any gauges. I was just thinking it possibly might work. Didn't really think about it, was just wondering. I thought a paint can might be able to withstand that amount of pressure. Sorry people, damn.

there are ways to make your own, but it seems to be almost impossible to do so cheaper than buying it. BTW you dont need the gauges, most PC stay at about 15 psi anyways...
