Birthday Cakes
    #3328708 - 11/06/04 08:25 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

My setup is complete. My cakes are fully colonized and I'm ready to birth my cakes. I'm having a problem with keeping my humidity level up(I'm using an ultrasonic humidifier) Anyways, the time is coming closer and I'm smiling more everyday. I just wanted to share this. Thank you and bye!

if your fruiting them as cakes you should just use some perilite...... its much easier , and it keeps the humididty high enough for the cakes.....

i found out humidifiers were perfect for casings, but were a hassle for cakes

you should try to fit one of the cakes in your vagina, i bet they'd grow ok in there.

The electronic humidity checkers..... suck at high humidities. If you are doing cakes. Do this.

Coat your fruiting chamber in 2 inch with perlite. To prepare perlite put dry perlite in sgettie strainer and run it under water. Thats how to soak it right.

DUNK your cakes before the first flush for best yeild on the first flush.

Nice!!

If my hygrometer doesn't read over 85%, how can I tell if my humidity is adaquate enough for growing?

you cant reallly, if you are using perlite tho with 2 inches prepared as stated in a standered rubbermade type dimensions it will have99% humidity for a long time. Fuzzy stems is a good indication of high humidity. Higher the better for cakes, it does not matter.
