Volume fluctuating?
    #3290424 - 10/28/04 04:54 PM (19 years, 5 months ago)

This has been happening for a while now. The volume on my computer will go down somtimes and then go back to normal. It never increases, only decreases and then returns to normal. I've checked all of my audio controls and they are normal, and stay the same when the fluctuation occurs. Any idea what could be causing this? The only possibility I could think of was CWS (which I was unable to remove due to being unable to boot in safe mode). Other than that I'm almost positive my computer is free of adware and spyware. I do regular daily scans, sometimes more than once.

Also, I recently upgraded my audio driver and suspected this may have been the cause. I wasn't totally sure because I couldn't remember if this happened before or after so to be on the safe side I rolled back to my previous driver.

What are you doing on your computer when this sound problem occures?

Is it when you start a program, run more than one, or is it completely random with no correlation to anything?

What kinda sound card are you running?

On board? 64bit? Midi?

The problem is random. I'm using an SBLive Value (WDM).
