digital ceramic heater, or warm mist humidifier
    #3284178 - 10/27/04 12:18 PM (19 years, 4 months ago)

both bout same price, any advantage towards the humidifier if im thinking of placing them in a fish tank, will i eventualy need a humidifer thing when fruiting or anything like that

also would a sealed enviornment be better like a fish tank or an open space be ok, would that not allow a constant temp?

blinky are you planning on growing in bulk or just a few ounces here and there?

If you are planning on growing small scale (8 oz or under IMO) you should stick with something like a Poor Mans Pod. It is very efficient, can be fully automated and will produce very nicely. It's a lot cheaper as well rather than spending bucks on the heater or humidifier.

Just use perlite for humidity and an aquarium heater (with adjustable heat control) for heat in a tub in tub setup. This will keep your humidity at 95%+ and keep your tub at a constant temperature as well depending on your heat setting.

If you are going bulk, you may want to check out the Martha Setup that was posted previously in this section. Then the humidifier would be a lot more useful for keeping up the humidity in such a large space.

Hope I helped atleast a little,
- Silven
