azure challenge

hello shroomers!
i have been cultivating cubensis for five months now. i feel now is the time to move on to the next step in my shroomer career :)
i want to do some outdoor patches. and since everybody [including me] is crazy about azure, i thought i should give it a try...
so i've been searching for some spore suppliers, and found Sporeworks are selling prints for 40$. and there's this guy at http://www.geocities.com/kickme_to_mushrooms/order.htm
that sells agar cultures for 3$ a piece.
i was quite determined to go all the way and inoculate a forest if i could [i hear some people actually do it!!!!], but then i read this post at the shroomery that said Azures are not at all rewarding.
now my question is rather simple: was this guy unlucky, uninformed, lazy, or was he right?

and that I was just doing what was necessary to stay comfortable while I waited to die...

If you are in the proper climate, and they do end up growing, Azure cultivation is one of the most rewarding things i can think of!
There is a post recently, I believe by workman in the vendors forum. Just take one look at those breathtaking beauties!!

i live in a temperate area. what other climate specifications should i meet. and why do you say if 'they do end up growing'?
are there even further problems with fruiting, besides colonisation and all that?

lateshroom.. Pan trops and Pan cyans would be good species to advance to. If you've worked w/ casings, they should not be too difficult for you to cultivate. And folks just rave about them in the bioassys.
