do u use perlite for humidity when you have caseings or do you just use the casing for humidity

if you case there is no need for perlitte. you can have a airpump blowing air into a glass of water instead.

perlitte is a bloody mess and i have stopped using it all together, on fungi its a mess on plants it gives algea problems so blah to perlitte

i use pelite for humidity with my casings. i still have to mist the walls of my pmp to get good humidity. i don't think you'd get optimum humidity with just the pump pumping air in water.

sure, the casing layer gives you good humidity for the pinning stage, but you'll need good humidity for healthy fruits.

perlite IS messy, it might be better to go with lava rock/geolite/expanded clay. an air pump underneith helps with humidity. you'll still need to mist with all of that.

IMO humidity alone won't keep the casing at near saturation and misting will always be needed. Unless you have an ultrasonic running 24/7 or something silly like that leaving them in a constant fog. Or if you use big expensive foggers. But most always the casing will need to be misted. Once myc is growing, only lightly spray over the casing and spray the walls though.
