Does using an air pump with bubble wands raise humidity as well as giving air circulation?

I'd try other things before you go out and fork out that money...
But then that's just me. I don't know if that would help. Did you try lowering the water level? I can try mine with more water in it to see if that lowers the RH, if you want me to, that is.

The water level in the perlite will make a difference in the rate at which the water is evaporated into the air.

The reason perlite works so well is that it sort of wicks the water up into its very porous structure where it is then readily sucked up by the less than saturated air in the pod. The maximized surface area provided by the wet perlite makes for much faster evaporation and a higher RH.

If you drown the perlite you are certainly going to suffer from a lower RH. About 2" of perlite with an inch of water works pretty well if you are using the bubbler wands as you said.

Hey, Mike. It's made a difference. I've been staring at 91% for awhile now. It was 99% before at 1/2". I am using corals instead of perlite, though.

I hope that solves your problem. If not, PM me and I'll go out and get some perlite to test it with you. I need to make another pod for my burma strains soon anyways. Let me know, okay?
