3D glasses while tripping?

I havent tried it myself but was wondering if any of you guys tried it?. Seems like a crazy idea. The nets loaded with 3D glasses pictures so I think it'd be good idea. But I dont have 3D glasses unfortunately so Im gonna have to make'em wich should be easy aslong as I can find a store with red and green transparant plastic/glass. Apparantly you can make your own 3D pictures with the click of a mouse button with certain progs like Quick3D. But Im new to all this so I might be in for a let down. These are just the first links I stumbled apon while searching, there are probably much better places. http://krypton.mankato.msus.edu/~dmorano/ThreeD/glasses.html http://www.magia.it/Alfa/GalleriaAlfa.html http://www.3d-images-gallery.com/

It's alright, never tried it on shrooms though or anything really strong just sleeping pills, would like to slip them on when on a really strong trip might have more of an effect.

Man I'd love to go on one of those 3-D rides they have at casinos/disneyland where the seats are interactive while I'm tripping..
I must be a kid at heart because I still love em, even when sober.

I have posted this on the "Best triping movies" & "Best trip toyz" threads, but this is specific to the question:
OK, I don't know how many people have ever even heard of these, but there are new kind of 3D movie that uses "shutter" glasses.... I dunno~ how long they have been around, I found mine on EBAY.... They have one movie called "Alien Adventure" (they are all pretty cool), and it is KiK ASS REAL 3D futuristic rollercoaster type rides.... It is the same quality as the Spiderman ride in Universal Studios down in Florida....!!! I shyt you not, it is by FAR the best movie one can watch while trippin on shroooomz....! Talk about a wild ride...!
Cons, they do not work on plasma screens, and you had better not be epileptic....!
I would be willing to put money on the fact that nobody who has seen this movie could argue with me - as being the best trip toy movie you have ever seen/experienced.....! It actually puts movement into you body, weather you like it or not...!!! Total mind phuk...!

Ive been researching on'em now and the cardboard glasses seem like a piss poor compromise . With the software out there you can change all media into 3D. Pics, games and DVDs, crazy!. Only problem is you gotta pay for everything but if its as good as you say Im definitely getting them . Unless ofcourse you can mention any cons? .

LoL, I did.....!
One con for me was, as soon as I got mine, they started selling wireless shutter glasses....!! Obsolete just as soon as I got them....
Still don't take away from the ride tho~...!

i bought the paul oakenfold(i think it is) dvd with the visuals... it came with the above mentioned chroma depth glasses. its a pretty good buy, not as good cuz there is a lot of distortion when looking thru these frames... one part in the song has a strobe-like effect which absolutely put me in a trance, i felt like i had the biggest grin on my face! if anyone's interested, the dvd's called 'voyage into trance' good buy!

Um, I think disneyland is a great place to trip. Actually, if you really look around, there are quite a few.. no a lot of people on drugs. For those that never had an experience, it's nothing like what you'd expect, but so much better. Everything is fake but the emotions drive you straight into the theme of every ride. Outdoor theme parks like six flags doesn't seem to be enhanced much, though.
Disneyland is themed at every corner like lines to get to the ride and stuff. Only drawback is things like "Fastpass" become something you can't use. Indiana Jones gets pretty exciting. Snakes become alive and even after dozens of time I rode it, it still has the same magic. Try participating in the parade.(yes, all you have to do is find the bus taking volunteers) You really feel like the stars with all those spot lights and camcorders on you.
I didn't like 3D glasses. Everything was already 3D anyways and 3D glasses made me go a cock-eyed a bit.
There is a cool effect you can watch for a long time, though. Take some microlights, mix some colors and go inside the closet and dangle the lights and stare into it until you get into a mind trip. If you don't like the trip you are on, just open the door and go get some water or something quick and try again. The mix of light and trailers seem to always get me into a cartoon world.
Just my 2 cents..

I think the ones you are referring to are ones called spectral glasses. They are like multi-facet prisms. They were very popular at raves because multiplicity of lights being observed and rainbow effects. The ones I had split to 6 blur visions. It was great in combination with photon lights but not as good with the glow sticks. I think that's what you are talking about, not really 3D.

it made my eyes strain really hard to keep focus. felt like my eyes were moving independently.

Since when did you have to focus on a 3D image?. It makes itself 3D for you as far as I know, its not like those hidden 3D pictures you have to stare at and sometimes move back and forth.
Maybe its in your head? . Honestly, I use to always cross my eyes a bit when I closed them. It was a bad reflex I developed who knows when. Only after years I started to pay attention to why my eyes felt strained when closed, now its been corrected.
Its sort of like the same concept as bitting your tongue when you concentrate or shake your leg when excited, little things you dont realize.
Perhaps you thought you had to focus instead of simply relax?, just a thought, what do you think?.

It's possible it's in my head, but I'm sure I have to focus when using 3D glasses. I know 3 types of glasses(prime colored ones, shutter controlled and polarized ones) and all of them use stereo photography to make your eyes focus at an arbitary point to give you the 3D image. So yeah, I'm pretty sure you have to focus, too. But If you ever watch birds or raptiles, you can see their eyes moving independently. My eyes feel like that possibly because they do, or because I know in my mind that the pictures and glasses are making forcing my eyes to focus on things that aren't naturally in focus.
Doesn't matter, though. Point I wanted to make was that everything is 3D anyways...

I've actually discovered new dimentions whenever using 3D glasses. Note to self they will mess with your eyes for about a hour after done using them, but they will be normal again. Use them & welcome to Astronomical Land.!

I have a 3d tv and glasses. Watched Tron on a 2g trip one time. Really nothing special. Nature is more beautiful and interesting than technology any time you are tripping.
