Ok so the day is finished and I can now show my pictures.
First off I must say that going mushroom hunting is fun as hell, I still don't know a lot about them but from what i've experienced today I totally recommend it to anyone who feels like taking a long walk in nature.
Secondly I want to appologize in advance for some of the pics because there are a few of them that are foggy. I'm no expert photgrapher and it'S the first time I did this.
Finally I don't know the name of any of those mushrooms, if they are edible or active I only wanted to take pictures so if any of you know anything about them pls say it out loud hehe

This first specimen was quite common and they came up in packs of hundreds. They were always on dead trees.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0322.jpg
These were pretty common also and came in big packs. They were somekind of yellowish.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0323.jpg
This one had a very earthy colour
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0324.jpg
Another common kind growing in packs.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0328.jpg
With the colour it has and the small white dots I am guessing that this one is a yellow amanita but as i've said before it's just a guess.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0329.jpg
Brown shrooms that seemed to puff because most of them had holes in them.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0330.jpg
Red looking shrooms.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0332.jpg
A pretty large one, it made me think of the mushroom in Alice in wonderland hehe
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0333.jpg
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0334.jpg
Probably the most interesting one I found today. It was quite large and alone next to a tree. The colour and the texture is also pretty nice.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0335.jpg
Some kind of spongy looking shrooms.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0336.jpg
Too bad this one is blurry cause these little bubbly red mushrooms had quite an interesting colour.
http://s93497698.onlinehome.us/PICT0337.jpg
Again it's sad that this one is blurry but we can still see the purple colour that is quite neat.
So that resumes my day. If anyone wants these pictures in a greater format ( 2.meg pictures) just pm or message me i'll send em to you.
And if please you know anything about some of those mushroom it would be greatly appreciated especially the long white one.
Have a nice day!
Edit: changed them for links it will be easier to navigate

Hey, I know absolutely nothing about shroom identification and can't help you out there, but I wanted to post anyway just to say that those are some really pretty pictures you took. Mushrooms are beautiful things.

I agree! Isn't it like another world ehn you really get down and dirty looking at all the beautiful fungi?
I used to live in Florida and snorkeled a lot. When I got mushrooming ir reminds me of that because after a little bit it seems like a whole new world opens up to you and you begin to see the micro communities that are in nature.
Very cool stuff! Fun too!
Nice pics! Welcome to mushrooming!

A big tip for future reference is that any mushroom you want identified needs to be picked and brought home. Make sure you get the entire mushroom including the base of the stem. The main reason is that you can check for things you didn't think of when you saw the mushroom in the field.
The first photo is of one of the many bracket fungi. For an ID we need to see the underside of the caps and know what kind of wood they're growing from (pine vs not-pine is usually good enough).
The second one we would need a spore print to have an accurate ID. As a wild guess, they resemble Hypholoma fasciculare, which is a very poisonous mushroom.
The third one is so out of focus it's hard to tell much about it. The wrinkled cap is typical of several species of bolete, as is a relatively thick stem as this one has.
The next group looks close to Lycoperdon pyriforme, a very common puffball the grows on wood.
The yellow one you suspect of being an Amanita is indeed an Amanita, although we should see more detail before guessing a species. With Amanitas it is important to dig up the entire base of the mushroom for identification purposes.
The next photo is of a couple puffballs, not the same as the previous ones.
The red looking shrooms are in pretty bad shape, so I won't even guess what thye might have once been.
The next one, growing from a log, is probably a polypore. We really need to see under the cap, and seeing the top of the cap would probably be helpful. Your photo is pretty, it just doesn't show the things we'd need to see to identify it.
The next one, where you took two photos, is a Lepiota. Since it's "quite large", it may be one of the choice edible species from that genus. Lepiotas should be approached with caution for eating because there are also deadly poisonous species in the genus.
The next ones, that you describe as "spongy looking", look like Tricholomas at first glance. We would need a spore print to be sure of the genus, and identification to species is fairly difficult with a lot of Tricholomas.
The bubbly red ones are actually a slime mold, Lycogala epidendrum.
The purplish one is too indistinct for much of a guess. Most purplish mushrooms I find are Cortinatius, but there are lots of other purplish ones out there.
Happy mushrooming!
