cakes drying out while colonizing?
    #311293 - 05/07/01 12:08 PM (22 years, 10 months ago)

Newbie questions again...I am worried that my jars might dry out while they are colonizing. 7 days ago I innoculated 12 jars. Is is safe to put them in my terrarium with two other fullly colonized and fruiting cakes? I live in a very dry environment and outside temps as high as 100 degrees. Can or should I SAFELY inject water into them and do you recommend it. Also, how do I tell if I need to? Any other suggestions are appreciated :)
Thank you

DO not place them with the fruiting cakes. Just place your jars in the coolest drakest palce you can and leave them alone for a week or so.
