Bush must have money trees

Ok, lets look at this
Lower tax revenues (Bush's tax cuts) and increased spending (4 billion dollar budget surplus in Clinton's last year to a current 4 billion (liberal estimate, its closer to 5 billion if you factor in social security) dollar budget deficeit)
How the fuck are we going to pay for this?

Sorry Skikid, but in fact the federal government's tax revenues have increased. That's the reason why the projected deficit for this year has already been revised downwards twice since the first estimate.
However, there is no denying that it would be nice to see government spending cut back as well.

Pinky, I request that you back up your claim that tax revenues have increased.
I am looking for information that backs my claim that tax revenue has decreased, and I hope I can find it, but I'm not the greatest info sleuth, I must admit.
My claims of lower tax revenue was from Bush's tax cuts are logical conjecture, but so is your claim that lowered taxes will increase taxable revenue due to increased business. Both are conjecture without proof, so please, I ask you, help shed some quantifiable light on this subject.
Thanks

OK, so I'm tired of GOOGLE searching, its rediculously hard to find info when you need it.....
So.....I'm asking someone, anyone find the comparison between 2002 tax revenue and 2003 tax revenue..
I, and this thread, would surely appreciate and benefit from it.
Thank you so very much.

easy, you are going to pay for it,
with money that isn't worth what it's supposed to be worth in the first place.

We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Sorry, I won't be able to back up my claims right now without spending time I don't have looking for the evidence...but I'm going to throw this out there anyway in the hopes that some of you will have heard about this.
There are sectors in our society (namely the very rich) who are pursuing this goal of purposely bankrupting the United States with the intent of eliminating all (or many) of our social services (and probably privatizing the remaining services).
Bill Moyers gave a speach for a convention on inequality where he laid out the (assumed) facts about this.

Here's a bit from Bill Moyers' speach from the 'Inequality Matters Forum' NYU June 3, 2004...
"These deficits have been part of their strategy. Some of you will remember that Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan tried to warn us 20 years ago, when he predicted that President Ronald Reagan's real strategy was to force the government to cut domestic social programs by fostering federal deficits of historic dimensions. Reagan's own budget director, David Stockman, admitted as such. Now the leading rightwing political strategist, Grover Norquist, says the goal is to "starve the beast" -- with trillions of dollars in deficits resulting from trillions of dollars in tax cuts, until the United States Government is so anemic and anorexic it can be drowned in the bathtub.
There's no question about it: The corporate conservatives and their allies in the political and religious right are achieving a vast transformation of American life that only they understand because they are its advocates, its architects, and its beneficiaries. In creating the greatest economic inequality in the advanced world, they have saddled our nation, our states, and our cities and counties with structural deficits that will last until our children's children are ready for retirement, and they are systematically stripping government of all its functions except rewarding the rich and waging war."
-------------------- What you're searching for is what's searching.

Hound,
I'm not sure how to interpret the site you gave, but if it is what it says it is, it looks like tax revenue has decreased....

Pinky,
Although I still have not found conclusive evidence either way of the increase or decrease in tax revenue, the fact of the matter is, when clinton left office, we had a budget SURPLUS, now with the so called "conservatives" (hahahahah) in office, we have a budget DEFICET.
