San Pedro

I am going to be obtaining a 12'' cutting of San Pedro and plan on doing mjshroomers TEK for the extraction. Would the cactus I am buying be a nice cactus to do this with? Should it be dried or fresh and what is the difference? I'm very anxious to try mescaline and have a few trips (13) off mushrooms under my belt. How long should I be expecting to trip off 1 foot of cactus? Is it easier to control yourself than mushrooms? Thanks in advance.

What is mjshroomers Tek and where did you find that? I also have San Pedro and would like to know the best way for extraction. It is much better than shrooms. The ability to control yourself depends on your perception. For me, the loss of reality is much greater. Everything just swirls and blends together.

Good for a first time. I wouldn't spend too much money getting lots of pedro before you taste it. A lot of people spend money and time preparing pedro, then take one sip and throw the rest in the bin.
How long should I be expecting to trip off 1 foot of cactus?
Depends how potent the cactus is and how much you can face drinking without vomiting. You'll probably feel stimulant effects and borderline tripping for 12-13 hours. It's hard drinking enough pedro to get a full scale psychedelic mescaline trip.
Is it easier to control yourself than mushrooms?
Yes, pedro is a lot gentler than mushrooms. And most people find it very difficult to take enough pedro to get 400-500mg of mescaline.

Provided it's nice cactus it should be enough for one strong experience.
For my first and only mescaline trip, i extracted the alkaloids out of 1,5lb of fresh cactus - a 16" section of my San Pedro. Used an acid/base extraction though, not Mjshroomers tek. I ate about 3/4 of the total yield (~400/500mg) and tripped very hard. So, i guess if your cactus is as good as mine you have a very nice trip there.
---
Fresh or dry, there's no diference besides the amount of water in the cactus. Either way is good for your purposes.
---
You should expect to trip for like 8-12h. Roughly the same duration as LSD.
Mescaline takes quite a while to make you trip. It all starts 1 hr after injestion with a MDMA like high that will rise and rise until about the 3-4h mark, when the crazy psychedelia will fall upon you for the next 6 or 7 hours.
It gave me very intense body-load for the first hours. It went away when the peak came, and from then on it was a very clean trip.
I found the trip easier to handle than psilocybin. In that aspect, i compare it to LSD.
---
The syrup may be stored in the freezer indefinitely.
---
You may want to wait for more experienced opinions on the qualitative aspects of the mescaline experience, b/c as i said i only tried it once.
Anyways, good luck!

You can get dried skins of it sold as incense. Much easier to get down, and easy to powder and cap.

There's a UK website that sells Pedro (Trichocereus peruvianus) in 25g, 50g and 100g packages. They are all dried. Which should I buy considering that I have never tripped on cacti before, only shrooms, but enjoy a pretty strong experience?
mushiemountain, not meaning to steal your thread I jst like multiple threads on the same thing :P

Seeing as it's your first time I'd go for the 25 dried grams. The trouble is a lot of people take one sip and can't face drinking any more of the foul tasting stuff. It's gonna be the worst tasting thing that has ever passed your lips. Don't waste too much money on it before you know whether or not you can face drinking it.
And you'll get an idea of the nausea on 25 dried grams too. Some people can cope with it, some people get lousy nausea.

Actually most people take two sips. The first one is like, jeez this is pretty damn bad, but not quite as bad as everyone is saying. The second is like, This is the most foul stuff I've ever consumed by a factor of 50X.
Anyways, why the hell would he drink it? That's a waste of dried cactus. The whole point is you can grind it up into powder and eat it some easy way. Capping it is the best way.

I used mjshroom's method with a four feet of wet san pedro. I chopped it all up, boiled it down in two big pots, and made four glasses of green juice. It wasn't at all hard to get down, it doesn't even have an aftertaste. Just have some OJ as a chaser, its really not as tough to drink it as people make it out to be IMHO (just like mushrooms aren't that gross to ingest). Anyway, we tripped very nicely for about eight hours. Honestly, it felt pretty similar to mushrooms, except more fun in certain ways. If you start to get tripped out, mescalito taps you on the shoulder and makes you smile again. Its wonderful. We were out in the desert when we did it, and went hiking through a nature preserve, a desert oasis fed by an underground river. You're gonna want to go walking around and check out plants, its just that kind of trip. By 10 hours you'll be feeling a little listless from being on a stimulant all day, but its not too bad. Enjoy!

It all depends on how much you boil it down. I got mine to a tall narrow glass of cactus drink per dose (I didn't measure it, so thats the best description I can give you ). It wasn't too thick either, just a slightly unpleasant tasting green drink. With an orange juice chaser, drinking it is super easy.
