bottom casing layer or not
    #3068762 - 08/30/04 11:09 AM (19 years, 6 months ago)

wondering if anyone has luck with not using a bottom casing layer, and can it be the same material as the top layer or should i use perlite, if anything, for the bottom layer. i would like to know what some personel experiences are with this.

WBS flatcake  double ended sounds like a fun plan   You can also press form it in a tray (in the bag) and once fully colonized slide it into the tray and case that would be fun to. I've done hundreds of WBS bags (so cheap) and just cased in the bags once the casing run was done I'd just cut the bags down to slightly above the casing level and initiate pinning. 50-60gm. shrooms were not uncommon at all and averaged 20-30. GL and most of all have fun bro

those are some nice shrooms :ooo:, 50-60 gm would be awesome and yes WBS is the way to go, get a big ass bag for dirt cheap. the empty mycobags are way cheap too, for contam ratio you can't beat em.
and again killer shrooms, what strain?

Are you taking cakes or grains and casings???

With cakes the entire thing should be covered

I have never used any casing material on the bottom of my grain casings but, I do see alot of pics with casing on the top and bottom. So mabey it makes a difference.

WBS casing, could you use the same material on the bottom that you use for the top casing layer?
