fighting cobweb mold
    #3067900 - 08/30/04 03:03 AM (19 years, 6 months ago)

It sounds like some people have had luck fighting cobweb mold, but I couldn't find specific information on the best steps to take. My friend had a small casing get covered with cobweb and she ended up having to throw it out. Then just recently she had a cake get covered. She pulled all the cobweb off, then dunked overnight in some h2o2 and water, and is currently hoping for the best. Is there anything else to try? One time she re-cased and that didn't help it all, the web just came right back. Thanks in advance for any tips.

you have to catch it early for any chance at fighting it
i have had success by spraying the web directly with h2o2/h2o
but many times cobweb seems to lead to the greens
...
maybe someone else will be able to give you better advice
my main advice is pay attention and you will catch contaminants easily
