desiccant drying

How well does it work using desiccant straight up with out the fanning for 24hrs ??

I got no fan as I got AC. :crazy: I aint hanging no bag either in front of it.  :sun:

Your shrooms will probally rot before they dry. "desiccant" is only used to drain the last lil bit of moisture from the mushroom so it is cracker dry from what i understand.
You can get a lil fan for 7 bucks at walmart, get a pot and put a napkin in the bottom and sit the fan on top blowing into the pot. No biggie!

I use damp rid, with no fan drying, my mushys take about 24 hours to dry just using damprid. Its awesome.

I followed the epsom salt "tek." Pour some in a baking pan, bake at 450 degrees for 90 minutes. It will clump up and bubble a bit. Take it out, break the stuff up into chunks, then, I prefer a pastry cutter to crumble it down.
I dried some fruits for 24 hours in front of a fan, then tossed them in the dessicant chamber. I also had some that dried for 8 hours in front of the fan. Both (albeit small) bunches of fruits are now cracker dry. Epsom salts are butt cheap, too. Hope this helps.

No BS i just dried 60 wet grams of mushys in a big tupperware container full of damprid, I think i used about 24 OZ of damprid, and it took 24 hours.
