the Smell of psilocybe mushies can't be wrong?

I read in a magic mushroom info page, that with the smell of the psilocybe cubensis, you can't be wrong because the smell and taste are completely recognizable and undinable.

I want to know if this is true beause last time I was about to eat a psilocybe cubenis but I wasn't sure at all, but one thing that was for sure was the smell of it, it was completely the same as the ones that I ate in amsterdam

please don't ID a mushroom by smell alone but they do have a unique odor. The smell is one identifying characteristic of mushrooms.

Yeah, its kind of hard to ID a mushroom based on smell. ID'ing a mushroom obviously takes a lot of different characteristics put together. Smell/taste is one of the last things to look for though.

Psilocybe's do have a distinct taste/smell to them though...moldy cheese heh.

mmmm mmmmm gooood...... scents of moldy cheese and rotted smelly socks sure do make the hairs in my nose stand up....... fact is, those aromas are up on the same level as my wife's S.B.D.F.'s
