Hey,
Just found 2 patches of the imfamous lawn-shroom/fla.
They were growing in my own lawn of the new house. Not a new house but 20 years old along with a 20 year old lawn.
Here are the images: 1. &2. Heopefully the images are ok to see. The grass needs to be mowed, so i tried to pull some pieces of grass out to reveal all the shrooms in the picture.
These are what i originally suspected to be Panaeolus castaneifolius, but now after finding them and attempting to identify them im starting to believe they are actually Copelandia westii.
The caps of these mushrooms sometimes sweat little tiny beads of sweat that look like practically invisible diamond-color, and i have seen that also common with Copelandia cyanescens.
These things also always tasted sort of like copelandia cyanescens in a weird way.
Keep shroomin GG

It's all good man- It seems like those are all season and common- very interesting- is copelandia westii what MJ had suggested or am I imagining things? I would also like to know the results of potency. (If it may be asked of you).

yeah i have hundreds of other pics of these, ill try to post a few closer more detailed ones later.
none of the 13 i found yesterday blued at, well i mean i ate them all only minutes after picking but didnt see any blue.
had a level 1 shroom trip i suppose.
ive tripped on them dozens of times.
i dunno what species they are, nobody does. at first i figured they were Panaeolus castaneifolius, -but after somebody examined them under the microscope they were proven not to be castaneifolius.
recently mj suggested they could be Copelandia westii, and they sorta fit the bill for those.
the spore prints on these are Jet-Black just like Copelandia cyanescens -they have a few similar features to C. cyanescens.
GG
i have a small dried collection of them along with a spore print but don't know who/where to send them off to for identification. -any help on that would be appreciated id like to send them off to someone.
GG
oh and a couple times i would eat only 6 or 7 of them fresh and tripped just as hard as with Copelandia cyanescens. -but most of the times they are much less potent. always slightly active though at least when fresh, once they dry they seem to go practically non-active.

here is a picture of a harvest i made 1 or 2 years ago.
this harvest right here was one of the potent ones. -these mushrooms tripped me out equal to that of the same amount and size of copelandia cyanescens.\
Keep shroomin
i kid you not they were as potent as C. cyans. -i've had one other collection i think (of only about 6-7 mushrooms) of which was as potent as C. cyanescens also.
The rest of the bioassays always made me trip, but sometimes you run into a potent batch.
GGreatOne234
And a story from the other batch that tripped me harder (not pictured):
Id just gotten done washing some ladies windows (that was my job), i found the shroom on her lawn (that's how i made most of my collections was finding them on peoples lawns i was washing windows for), I was driving down the interstate after leaving her house eating those shrooms, they tasted abnormally potent.
And then all the sudden i see this big black smoke cloud in the air miles ahead of me, I was listening to the radio and they were talking about some air-crash that happened, and i didnt even believe it it didnt ever register, Until i got off at my exit and at a stoplight and asked some dude in the car next to me what was going on;
A f.cking F-16 apparently (during an airshow or something) smashed into a smaller private plane, and they both exploded in the air.
This was all just a few miles away from the house i was living.
I went home to watch the news and they were interviewing old people that were golfing at the golfcourse right above where these planes landed and they were saying they saw a arm fall on the 9th hole green, a leg on the 5th, and all sorts of pieces from the planes landing all over the place.
Thats my story. Nothing to really do with that shroom trip much but, it was wild.

oh and a few years ago i sent a print of these to Workman And he isolated them on petri dishes He said that all the dishes readily stained blue, or which doesnt really happen in the wild, only maybe 1 out of every 12-20 specimens typically stains blue.
i swear if someone could learn how to cultivate them just like copelandia cyanescens they would be a hit.
i think workman just forgot about them or either never got them to fruit, but im sure he would have told me he tried to fruit them.
i would like to have that petri dish and try it myself. -i dont have any agar supplies anymore and kinda sucked at agar in the first place. but if i had the dish he made i could expand it onto WBS or popcorn no problem.
