On impulse the other day at the grocery store, I bought a watermelon. I haven't tasted a fresh watermelon in over two years.
The moment I cut it open, the aroma wafted deliciously up towards me and memories of my childhood began flooding back...
I'm sitting here savoring a slice of watermelon right now. It's so good!! I feel like a little kid again.

I saw those for sale in my local store. They were like triple the price of a normal watermellon.

yeah, exactly what I said when I saw the bitches.
If you can grow watermellons, all you have to do is box them while growing and you can make your own.

my cat can eat a whole watermelon...
I love watermelon, and I really can eat a whole smaller one. But then I have to pee every 5 minutes. Not only is it all water, but it's a diuretic.
Watermelon originated in derert areas of tropical and sub-tropical Africa!
It has been eaten and cultivated in Egypt and India since well before 2500 b.c. The once grteat advantage of this fruit, which encouraged its spread to lands around the Mediterranean and easward into Asia, was its 90 percent water content. This made watermelon a valuable source of drinking water in desert areas and an especially useful source of potable liquid where water supplies were polluted.
It's high quality water content is an excellent cleanser and detoxifier for the whole body, and has the greatest dissolving power of inorganic minerals in the body out of all the fruits and vegetables.
Surprisingly, it has only half the sugar (5 percent) of an apple, but tastes much sweeter because sugar is its main taste-producing element.
One of nature's safest and most dependable diuretics, watermelon has a remarkable ability to quickly and completely wash out the bladder.
Thw white rind of the watermelon is one of the highest organic sodium foods in nature, and the outside peel one of the best sources of chlorophyll. The rind can be juiced and drunk, or small amounts can be eaten.
Fully ripe seeds are edible, and are considered qwuite tasty by many cultures.
The is taken from one of my favorite books ever, "whole foods companion" which has tons of info on practically every fruit, nut and vegetable used by humans for food. Yes and I typed it straight out of the book because I love you guys and want you to know more about watermelon.

Hmmm, I would really like to see them out of my head on LSD but I think them boys would be alittle to freaking much for that.
I'm planning on a nice dose of mushrooms and many, many bowls this weekend.

I'll probably stick with the same program. I've never seen them so I'm pretty stoked. It won't probably be that long of a show though because it's a Jazz festival. We'll see.....

Water melons...mmmmm. I got some babys. One about the size of a tennise ball. Its reel pretty, the variety is called stars and moons. They are dark green almost back with orange cressents and spots on it. The flesh is yellow aroange. Cant wait for them to ripen up. I got so many veggies I cant eat them all and I am trying to. I got cucumbers that would make the biggest man blush. Beans by the shoping bag. And corn boy do we have corn.
My dog likes to eat watermelon thats been soaked in vodka, she just loves it.

Oh I grew the moon and stars last year in my garden!
Your garden sounds amazing!!!!!
I miss my big garden....I live in a different house, and this one has a small garden, but it does produce food that we eat almost every day.
