Mushrooms - stored in jar in cupboard

If this has been posted a million times, you can kick my proverbial ass and send me in the right direction.

I've been keeping about 1.5 grams of mushrooms wrapped in foil in a jar with a lid on it in my cupboard. The temperature has been between 15 and 28 Centigrade. The mushrooms have been there for maybe a month and a half now. Would they be safe or how should I store them in future?

Incidentally, they were left over after a 'session' with the mushroom, and they are starting to call my name....that is if they are indeed safe to eat.
