Good read.
It's reassuring to read the personal views of my idols and realize how similar my views are to theirs, heh.

Thanks BleaK, I always enjoy reading words from him, or anyone in the band.

haha he didn't want to talk about fred durst!! lol
-------------------- Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Interviewer: I was reading something that Fred Durst said...
Maynard: Why would you do that?
Interviewer: (Laughing) He said, ?Tool is probably the best band on the planet. There?s something wrong with those guys?they?re too good.?
Maynard: Sounds like something a fuckin? stoned kid at a fuckin? monster truck rally would say. Let?s talk about somebody else.
Interviewer: There?s more...
Maynard: It?s like getting an endorsement from the woman who serves jello in the fuckin? high school food line. It doesn?t mean anything. Just ?cause she won the lottery doesn?t mean you have to listen to what she says.
-------------------- The very nature of experience is ineffable; it transcends cognitive thought and intellectualized analysis. To be without experience is to be without an emotional knowledge of what the experience translates into. The desire for the understanding of what life is made of is the motivation that drives us all. Without it, in fear of the experiences what life can hold is among the greatest contradictions; to live in fear of death while not being alive.

he cannot seriously think poor record sales = irrelevant.... i don't think Maynard groks the Fact that the Music Industry is going to have to adjust to the Free Information Age, not the other way around...
