Magic mushrooms and removal of long covid brainfog 2

I experienced beneficial effects of magic mushrooms against long during brain fog, which was considered a long covid effect/symptom.
I'm writing this down as it might help someone. I'm not 100% sure it was the magic mushroom that helped, but I sincerely believe there was a reset and recuperation of my mind because of the magic mushroom dose. Possibly together with body reset and body-mind reset. Who knows. Anyways, here goes.
Because it was the desired procedure back then in 2020, when I had mild fever and a bit of headache, I was tested and found positive on covid. After a week of just a bit of headache and a little sore throat (nothing serious enough to not work), I got severe headaches and a severe throat infection for 2 weeks. After that 2 weeks my energy level was low, and was only able to slowly get back to work for short periods. I started with 1 hour per day, and every week or so 1 hour per day was added. During the recovery I discovered I had something called 'brain fog'; when I started again with mental tasks that had a bit more complexity, I found out that I just wasn't able to tackle those anymore. Like mind fog. I don't remember I ever have had that before.
That mind fog situation went on. My colleagues took over the parts my mind couldn't grasp. I could not do too complex brain work, but the more easy repetitive things I was able to do.
At a certain point in time (I'm not sure anymore how many weeks/months after working again full days) I consumed magic mushrooms. It must have been between 1 and 2 grams. It was for recreational purposes and also to relive the 'old days'. I hadn't touched magic mushrooms for many many years. Nor any other drug, other than -occasionally- alcohol.
Long story short: a week or 3 after the mushrooms intake, I found out the brain fog was gone. The same task at work where evidently my mind fogged before, was suddenly again processable by my mind. Later I backtracked and related the mental improvements to the mushroom intake.
I'm convinced the mushroom + set + setting resetted and/or recuperated something and cleared the brain fog.
Since then I did a few more mediate to high mushroom sessions, with the intent of recuperation of the 'mind' and spiritual growth. For me it worked, for sure regarding the mental recuperation.
I know this is anecdotal. Lots can be said in favour of and lots to contradict my experience and supposed beneficial effects. Anyway, maybe it helps someone.

Thanks so much for sharing. It's super interesting how shrooms seem to be able to rewire the brain and create new connections.
Are you planning on taking more or are you happy where you are at now?

Thanks for the thanks. I just hope it might help someone, having similar brain fog. It might help.

>>I microdose, which I plan for every 3 days intake, then a day no intake, and so further. I have not planned for big doses. I could if I would or have the need or desire, for brain recuperation or recreation or mind expansion. Regarding mind clarity I'm happy where I am now. The mind fog has been away now for at least a year, maybe 2. I have to delve in journal notes about that... To be honest - and again not statistically clinically proven or something- I think my mind is more clear now than it was like let's say 5 or 10 years ago. I'm happy with that.

My mom has been suffering from long covid for over a year. I'm really worried about her. It sucks because there's not a chance in hell she would consider trying psilocybin to help her. Maybe I'll try to gently suggest it to her.

Regarding long covid, this is a mainstream article (Time magazine), & I'd argue against referring to psilocybe mushrooms as "drugs," but perhaps reading something like this could help people otherwise reluctant to try alternatives when the mainstream medical cartel fails.

I have a friend trying to get his 8O+YO father to try mushrooms, & although he's interested, he's also scared & hasn't gone for it yet. So far he tends to balk.
I think people simply need to hear more case studies from mainstream & somewhat conservative sources - normalization & familiarity. Look how CBD suddenly became a fad.
Of course regular acupuncture txs for long covid would probably be helpful also.

I would love to see more additions to this thread. I know several people with neurological issues, including from COVID and strokes, who may be receptive to psilocybin with the right evidence/testimonials, and I would love to see them find literally any amount of relief.
