I've been watching a few of the possible new species mature for a few days and finally decided to get some pics of them in their natural habitat.
If you're looking for a description of this species, you can find it here.
Here's the pics:
Pics for size comparison(with US quarter):
Enjoy!

I fucking knew it- I've seen those and I know it like I know where to look for the sun- I'm going hunting goddamn it!!!!!!!! I thought it was too dark to be a blueing because it was so blackish- not like a hygrocybe though. I guess it's the size and thin-ness of the stem that darkens it so much. Am I correct in assuming yuo have NOT eaten any specimens, or am I asking one of those unanswerable questions that would make you sound like a risk taker? Anyway- I read the description of the mushroom itself and what it grew on but didn't see what sort of habitat you were in- woods-suburbia-park-edge of a road. I can see under trees and whatnot but were you far out of town or near water- in a floodplain? If you can hit me with some of these specs please.

Alounacara: yep, same ones.
Superbling: I'm out in suburbia. I consider it suburbia, my girlfriend calls it bumblefuck. There's a lot of fairly dense woods around here. I found these back in the woods on our property growing form a pile of sticks and branches where we throw clippings from yard work. They were within 10-15 feet of a small creek. If you find some be sure to get some pics somehow

Thank you infinately for that- it's kind of what I suspected that it was off a property- I think once I found them in Williamston, SC in some old oak scrub leaf stick shit on top off moss and moisture by the Saluda river behind my naughty nurse neighbors house and just two days ago I went to the Broad River ******* to fish and fuck about and saw the same things (speculatively oyu understand of course) under mixed debris and looked at them for several minutes before going over to fuck with a turtle. I sure will post pics Gumby. Happy day. You said you were going to print in the origional post. I trust these were predictable enough? Anyway- thanks again. Keep your fingers crossed- yesterday I went where I'm going tomorow and got jumped by a big fucking snake.

Yeah, the prints came out dark brown(with a hint of purple) as you would suspect for a mushroom from the Psilocybe genus.
Good luck finding them, and watch out for those snakes. I'm going to be battling some snakes in the next few days- by choice, of course. I'm going to Trinidad. My goal is to catch an Anaconda, Fer de lance, and a Bushmaster. I've got experience handling venomous snakes so I'm not fearing for my life that much. Should be fun. I'll come back with tons of pics.
