Best resource for learning about crypto and blockchain? 1

I was never interested in learning more about cryptocurrencies and blockchain especially because crypto's always seemed like a ponzi scheme but I'm beginning to get it now that the global economy is about to implode on itself.
What are the best books to read or the best net resources that will give me a solid base knowledge. I want in and I want in now...

I did ... start with $50 or so, 1. choose a crypto exchange, 2. open an account, 3. buy some crypto, 4. install crypto wallet, 5. move crypto around 6. purchase some items...
I needed to learn security stuff - four different 2FA codes when to use where, etc.

Also note that you have to use your own crypto wallets if you want to truly own your crypto (e.g. original bitcoin client, electrum, multidoge, etc.). Storing crypto in an exchange's wallet is trusting the exchange. If the exchange goes tits up for any reason - your crypto is at risk of going with it.

I'd focus on Bitcoin. Just read the Wikipedia article and maybe get a good book about it. After you understand Bitcoin (technology, philosophy, history, economy...) you probably have no need for other cryptocurrencies...

I like Coinbase. Lots of great learning resources there: https://www.coinbase.com/learn
