You don't want to exceed 170f for pasteurization. Use a candy thermometer.

I use a water thermometer and it works really good however :is that because the indigrents are not mixed well within the water after addin extra hot water to keep the temperatures as you want?

How are you heating your pot up? The water temp should be pretty constant and like I said you don't want to exceed 170f for pasteurization. Just put your poo or straw or whatever in, submerge your thermometer and clip it to the side of the pot and go off that temp.

First I stabilized 160F and then I added hot water to keep it on those temps for thermo bacteries every 10 minutes until 45 minutes of work. That was a large pot so I hadn't got any choise.Do you know any other way for a large pot? Thanks for feedbacks!
