Composted Cow Shit

Ok I can get 40 lbs of composted cow crap for under 5$
I'm wondering if I'm going to have to pasteurize it or not.

yup you better go ahead and pasteurize or else you will most definately grow a nice crop of cobweb and green meanies.

ok, I asked @ the place im buying it if it was pasteurized and all they could tell me is that its composted... Then they said it really don't matter... I felt like saying it does if your growing shrooms, lol

I think most of them are probably pasteurized before they are bagged so that you dont open them up to find a bunch of green stuff.(i have bought some before that was covered in green) I would definately recommend re-pasteurizing even if it says pasteurized. The process only keeps the substrate contam free for a couple of weeks. I guess the pre-pasteurized poo would be ok if the bag never got a hole in it ,but I sure wouldnt trust it if were you.
